Midnight Appointments

EO 2 nullified at least 977 midnight appointments from the Arroyo presidency. Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Eduardo de Mesa said that Arroyo cannot be held liable because of presidential immunity at the time of making those appointments. (Check Executive Abuse page)

PHILIPPINE TRUTH COMMISSION

Created through the very first Executive Order (EO 1) of newly elected Benigno S. Aquino III, the Philippine Truth Commission is tasked to investigate graft and corruption committed by high ranking officials in the GMA administration.
